Why is journalism important ?
Journalism is the investigation and reporting events for different purposes. It is important because it is human nature to be curious about the world and whats going on, we humans want to know about places and people that effect our lives and the way we think. The importance of journalism comes through letting individuals have their voices heard, since the right to opinion and expression would not be a reality without the press. A lot of people these days depend greatly on the press for new and updated information. Journalism is the "Voice of the voiceless "
Every morning we are around journalism weather its the news paper that thrown on your lawn every morning, or the attractive people on the screen informing us with good and bad news. Phones and laptops which have over 1000 sites and apps that give us certain information that best suits our interests. We are a global society. Little events thousands of miles away in places you may have never heard still have a ripple effect.
Similarly, the main aspects of the importance of journalism is accuracy, credibility and balance. One of the most important responsibilities of journalism is to keep their principles maintained when reporting. All information given should be based on facts and the truth providing accurate news. But without journalism providing incredible information there would be no trust press, no new information running through our minds... Journalism is important and lets keep it running.
