Anzac Day, Lest we forget - Amity Attard
Anzac Day would have to be one of Australia's most important national occasion. It marks the anniversary of the very first huge military action by the Australian and New Zealand forces during the first World War, its to remember what they sacrificed for our everyday freedoms.
On the 25th of April, Australia has a memorial for the soldiers who fought for our country. The dawn service is one of many ways you can remember the soldiers who died for our country. In the dawn service people gather at a certain time which ranges from four in the morning to eight. Hundreds of people form in a military line and show their respect to the heroes who loss their lives Anzac stands for Australian, New Zealand Army Corps.
On the 25th of April, everyone part in the allied expedition that set out to abduct the Gallipoli land. This is how they are known as Anzac's. |
